I think the lady has not studied Indian Ideology well. Hindus see their daughters in form of Goddess, so once she leaves her parental home(Vidayee), she leaves behind rice(in the form of Goddess Annapurna) as a blessing for the family & not as a debt & secondly Kanya daan is not giving away daughters. It is one of the most sacred ritual that sets free daughters parents from all the bondages. Before challenging any Hindu rituals, go to the shastras thoroughly where one will find & understand the depth of Hindu Samskaras which are so profound & meaningful.

They are doing somthing revolutionary...but charges are too high..not everyone can afford them..which i find really upsetting, somewhere I find it taking advantages of others emotions and urge of doing somthing unconventional and making profit out of it...beleive it or not i myself have ditched the kanyadaan and kanakanjali process and an ordinary priest have performed our wedding...but yes, if you can afford to spend that much then you can definitely hire them..

This is what happens when a lousy piece of shit, having knowledge about only sexual relationships, tries to define Hindu rituals of marriage. She is absolutely a bigot, without having a comprehensive ability to understand what Vivah is all about and the meaning of their rituals, manipulating it according to her feminist shallow understanding to get into the limelight. This idiot old feminist woman has no right to destroy the tradition of Hindu marriage. If she has any issues, then she should start her own feminist secular faith and create new rituals which are in no manner copy of Hindu marriage rituals and shouldn't have any similarity with Hindu weddings, where couples get married even by hugging, kissing or even having publicly int*rcourse as feminism wants to break away all shackles of so-called patriarchy. But, this feminist woman has no right to distort Hindu marriage traditions, so f*ck off old feminist lady!

I think people need to be educated about our cultural values so that they have a certain level of understanding of our rituals. Only after that they can make a conscious decision of what is right and what is wrong rather than having a preformed and biased opinion against hinduism which are mostly influenced by western concepts or sometimes even politics. Also i think brut has nice posts but I am also disappointed in brut after observing that many of bruts posts are directed against or in favour of certain political parties and sects .

99% of Bengali people goes to weddings for eating they don't give a damn about who weds who. Those marriage invitation cards ends up lying in the attic. But yeah I like this change but at the same time no one literally cares. Your video would be lying in a corner of Facebook server hardly to be watched, and marriages would continue as per Hindu traditions.

Latest trend is to oppose Hindu traditions without actually understanding them , at the same time ape stupid concepts from the west under the guise of modernism. ( Eat a penis like cake before wedding ) Not all old is regressive and not all modern is progressive. Kanyadaan Doesn't mean giving the kanya like a commodity! Max Mueller would be proud!
