Fish and plastic, a campaign for our oceans

They wanted fish and chips, but got a wake-up call instead. This shop went all in to show the dangers of plastic waste. 🐟

Chip shops are hardly paragons of virtue. Plastic containers for takeaway foods. Plastic knives and forks.

BS. Almost all the plastic in the ocean comes from countries with poor waste management practices. For instance, the US contributes less than Morocco, i.e. 1% of the global waste, despite representing 4.5% of the world population and about 15% of the global economy.

As a choice, my family eat very little fish these days. Not enough in the world's oceans to be fished and be sustained at the same time. And Double problems with all the plastic in the seas. So very sad

I wonder, how did that plastic get into the sea? If you throw it neatly in the bin then this can not happen.

Are big companies dumping this in the ocean? I realize people litter but this amount of plastic garbage is absolutely horrendous. Maybe because of Tsunamis? Why do so many people litter? Are they that lazy and ignorant? Makes me sick that humans are so stupid! Obviously people need a wake up call!

What's more frightening is seeing fishless oceans by 2050 because over a trillion marine animals are killed every year for "food".
