Leave the " specimens" alone and in the ocean. If they don't eat the trash we already know others that do. Garbage doesn't belong down there whether or not it's eaten. Now those animals have been sliced and diced. Thanks to humans. Can't we leave anything be for gods sake?

At that depth and pressure most plastic packaging would be flat against the ocean floor wouldn’t it ??

Considering the waste dumped why would you expect any place to be pristine? World wide wind and water currents, huge storms, sinking ships, stupid dumping, etc. make pristine impossible. The jet stream sends us sand, soil, ash, even animal life from around the world including from the Sahara. Tsunami's bring items from Japan, other countries to our shores.

Os paises mais porcos são as filipinas china Índia onde deitam o lixo para o mar também África esses são os países do lixo plástico e á muitos mais a fazer isso é pena ,isto vai da educação que dão aos filhos! Reciclagem onde ainda em muitos países latinos não tem separar o plástico do Outro lixo os oceanos já estavam livre do lixo !
