Starlink: Light pollution from SpaceX satellites

There could soon be thousands of them orbiting Earth. These bizarre lines of glowing dots recently spotted in the night sky are Starlink satellites. Here's why Elon Musk's latest project is so controversial.

The light pollution only happens while they are getting them in to position. If you notice, it’s only when they have a train of them. There are still thousands of satellites, that are bigger, up in orbit. No one is complaining about them. These “light pollution” are temporary for each launch

As i see it, we can fill the ground with wires running EVERYWHERE or we can see some lights in the sky and have internet everywhere. Where i live you drive for hours and dont have internet at times, this will be good for when you breakdown in -30c weather and can actualy get ahold of someone.

We’re slowly trapping ourselves under an umbrella of space junk. Space junk is a serious problem in Earth's lower orbit. Everything that human beings launch high enough into space will ultimately end up like that shattered satellite. And that issue to consider is how debris will effect future launches.

i am sorry i am praying to god for cheaper internet service. i live in a rural area in Canada and i am with Bell and i pay almost 200 bucks a month for their slowest unlimited high speed internet and one land line. This does not include satellite television. I feel i am being charged so much to offset the cheaper packages that does offer t.v. that are offered to urban areas. When i got an advertisement once about cheaper packages i called up and was told i didn't quality for it because i was already a customer. As a senior on a fixed and i do mean fixed income i consider this a rip off. A gouge that they know they can get away with because they have a monopoly here.
