We should talk about the entire truth. The cannibalism, human sacrifice, attacks on women and children and the slave trade in side the tribes. Making seem like north America was a magical place where everyone lived at peace is just a lie. Tell the entire history.

While I appreciate indigenous people trying to be relevant here, we really aren't celebrating any of that. We don't celebrate Christ on Christmas, Thanksgiving traditions started long long after the pilgrims and other then kindergarten plays have nothing to do with that time, Halloween is far removed from Samhain. These are American traditions not native traditions. You don't have to celebrate them if you don't want but we don't need you to "educate" us during the celebrations. You can do that on any other day of the year. I do mean I appreciate the interest. History should be taught and there is a time and place for that; during a celebration is not it. No one comes to your celebrations and reminds you about the history of cannibalism and human sacrifice (of children even).

Your tribe killed off the tribe before it. They killed off the tribe before them. They all killed off the red beards that predate them. Runes are found in mountains

we get it, Indians are a conquered people. Nothing new seeing how every country in existence came by one group over throwing another. As for teaching kids truth, sure, whynot tell the truth about both sides instead of telling truth = blaming everything on white people :)
