The life of Jennifer Aniston

There’s a lot more to Jennifer Aniston than her personal relationships. This is her story.

This is Jennifer Aniston

She’s one of the highest-paid actresses in Hollywood

Jennifer Aniston was born in 1969, in California. Growing up, her father, an actor, tried to keep her from watching TV. In her early days, she made a living as a waitress, a telemarketer and bike messenger. At 20, she found out that she was dyslexic. At 25, she achieved global fame thanks to her role as Rachel Green in the sitcom “Friends.” For 10 seasons, the audience grew passionate about her character’s story with Ross Geller. This role earned her several awards, including the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a comedy series. 25 years after the show first aired, the six actors remain close and Jennifer Aniston is even the godmother of Courteney Cox's daughter. In 1998, at the peak of “Friends”-mania, she met Brad Pitt and married him two years later, surrounded by paparazzi. During the 2000s, she successfully turned to comedy.

Her relationship with Brad Pitt is still being discussed almost 15 years after their divorce

In 2005, Brad Pitt cheated on her with Angelina Jolie on the set of “Mr & Mrs Smith”and the couple divorced. Rumors in the press claimed the couple had split because she refused to have a child. The media went wild, the paparazzi tracked down the three actors, and a play called "Jen & Angie" was even performed in New York and Los Angeles. In 2006, she starred in the movie “The Break-Up” but the press stayed focused on her relationship with co-star Vince Vaughn. Years later, the actor blamed the pressure of paparazzi for their breakup.

At 39, she founded her own production company, Echo Films

At 42, she starred in two movies, yet the media focused on her blooming relationship with Justin Theroux. At 45, she switched genres with the movie "Cake" where she played a mother who killed her son in a car accident. The following year, she wrote an essay for the Huffington Post calling out paparazzi “harassment” and the “objectification" of women's bodies. In 2017, it wasn’t her role as a soldier's mother that made headlines, but her divorce from Justin Theroux after two years of marriage.

She founded her own production company, and yet people are more concerned with her love life than her filmography

At 50, she returned to television in "The Morning Show" with Reese Witherspoon, who played her little sister in "Friends." On October 15, 2019, she broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to reach one million followers on Instagram. On January 19, 2020, Jennifer Aniston won Best Actress in a drama series at the SAG Awards. However, it was their picture taken together at the awards with Brad Pittthat made headlines.
