    Why would Boyle ask 60% of the people. Even if he correctly asked 100% of the people, 60% would not want ‘Breggzit’ to go away.

    This isn't about pessimism or optimism. This is about realism and intelligence. Danny Boyle clearly still has an understanding of the working class and minority cultures. Richard Curtis has spent that long hob-nobbing with millionaire luvvies that he's lost touch with the struggles of the average person. His point of view is ridiculous. Just ask the people his opinion was based on.
