Michel Barnier: Not out to punish the UK

Michel Barnier says the EU's stance in Brexit negotiations are not aimed at hurting the UK- but at keeping peace across the continent.

It's all about money keeping the fat cats fat feeding millions into their banks accounts that as tax payers we're helping them do.

It was only about a week ago that Angela merkle said it was time to push forward and create a European army ruled by the EU. Quite a long way from the reason Britain joined in 1974. We didn’t have a world war to hand control of our armed forces to any one other than our democratically elected government. Nothing wrong with trading on world trade organisation rules.

Countries of the EU don't but those who run the EU (which isn't those member countries) most certainly do , how dare we question their rule!

NATO has kept the peace in Europe which is a military alliance The European Union is just a political organisation Which is designed to strip sovereignty, accountability and power of the electorate from nation States To the elite bureaucrats who Vision And ideology to control The working man. Successive UK governments over time Have given away the UK sovereign rights to have sole control over its borders and laws, These rights under treaties like the Maastricht and Lisbon, Where decisions are made Behind close doors without the full consent of the People. When we elect a member of Parliament and governments we expect them to have sole accountability To the Electorate, Not to be told they can only go and ask and Beg this organisation to make changes Which they believe is in the U.K.’s best interests

Anyone who believes him. Ask yourself . If the uk had never been a part of the Eu.( third country) Yet, it was now seeking to do a closer trade deal. ( larger economy, close by etc) Would the Eu really be negotiating in the same tone and same uncompromising way. And if your answer is “yes” Are they the right people to be doing our trade deals. ??????

Brits already know the EU is anti democratic. Just the other week the Commission denied Italy’s budget, even though it would come in at a deficit of 2.4% of GDP. Which is still within the 3% threshold of the stability and growth pact rules. So when Barnier says nationalism is bad, what he really means is any government (besides the EU). After all what’s the point in electing a government if they cannot carry out their mandate which they were voted in to do.
