Theresa May, Boris Johnson and the "glass cliff"

Women set up to fail in powerful positions before a man takes over. It's called the "glass cliff", and this is why it applies to Theresa May and Boris Johnson.

She was a useless article. I don't know why we taxpayers paid her so much money to achieve so little.

True, as awful as May was, Johnson is worse.

The crisis WAS of TM's making - she demanded red lines that were unattainable and did not work across the aisle - the only sensible thing to do with so little difference in Leave and Remain. This piece implies Johnson is winning - he clearly isn't and will come unstuck very soon.Third point - there are many non-white people in the cabinet - race is irrelevant here.

Set up to fail? She wanted to be PM. No one twisted her arm. And the “white man” who’s taken over is just as incompetent. But hey, don’t let that get in the way of a “fuck men” article.
