    Rose is a rose and some people keep in book and write this book is mine till I am dead on good ocassion and bad occasion rose and flowers are used Nehru used to adore rose on his achkan I have seen arose flower named after johan F. Kennedy valley of flowers is famous in India Rose garden of chandigarh is attracton for tourist there one or two rose gardens near Amrecian embassy in Delhi Flwers bring happiness but they are short lived .

    Roses don't need any fertilizer, pesticides etc if grown in the appropriate climatic & soil conditions. Just use the right flowers for the place ... Maybe love is shown only by getting flowers that don't belong?????

    I love the wild flowers that attract bees and look beautiful. A rose is nice but all the perennials that grow in certain climates are great. I never had to use pesticides with them. I could move them around, give them away and look forward to them in the spring.

    I prefer gifting saplings than flowers.. that too in earthen pots, not in plastic planters.
