Ban plastic packaging altogether and force industries to look for alternatives. Also not drinking bottles soft drinks is doable and probably healthier. A huge portion of those plastic thrash comes from Packaging. For example, we should return to using glass bottles instead of PET bottle. Glass can be recycled.
Alternative packaging like glass would probably be more expensive but its sustainable.

I went to Samana about 14 years ago, the situation back then was this- beautiful beaches full of rubbish! How come it’s taken so long for it to be on the public agenda ?
