Starlink: Light pollution from SpaceX satellites

There could soon be thousands of them orbiting Earth. These bizarre lines of glowing dots recently spotted in the night sky are Starlink satellites. Here's why Elon Musk's latest project is so controversial.

Nobody complains about the weapons platforms that are up there pointing down at our small world

Only if people showed the same concern with city lights

Oh brother. Shutdown all city lights first before whining about this string of satellites.

The light pollution only happens while they are getting them in to position. If you notice, it’s only when they have a train of them. There are still thousands of satellites, that are bigger, up in orbit. No one is complaining about them. These “light pollution” are temporary for each launch

I’m sure they can put telescopes up there to see even further

As i see it, we can fill the ground with wires running EVERYWHERE or we can see some lights in the sky and have internet everywhere. Where i live you drive for hours and dont have internet at times, this will be good for when you breakdown in -30c weather and can actualy get ahold of someone.

Sure they are, that’s the propaganda narrative and then there’s the real deal hidden agenda. You can be sure of that, follow the money.

Well... that explains the "unexplained objects" I observed moving across the sky in a straight line. Several objects almost evenly spaced moving at a speed far too fast to be any conventional or military aircraft and had no lights, and yet I could see them due to the light being reflected off them.

We’re slowly trapping ourselves under an umbrella of space junk. Space junk is a serious problem in Earth's lower orbit. Everything that human beings launch high enough into space will ultimately end up like that shattered satellite. And that issue to consider is how debris will effect future launches.
