Walked it for my honeymoon adventure. Was an amazing experience. Discovered that altitude and my body don't go well together. Hard but so glad I did it.
Did this in 2017..went with Waykitrek, excellent outfitter!
We can go there after our Middle East holiday
on my bucket list one day ❤
Walked this trail 20 yrs ago (by myself, no guide as it was still open for everyone). Carrying own backpack and tent, and lots of dried mac n cheese. One of the greatest experiences 🤗

A great virtual tourist venture would be to have guides go to lots of archaeological sites with drones and on foot and do guided tours. You could go to a website and select the site and the language of your choice and be guided around a place you may never be able to see in person, while reducing the degradation of that site through human traffic. I'm sure variations of this idea exist, but I'd definitely be keen. There's so many archaeological sites that fascinate me. Bring it on!
Better be young and fit for that one. At 72 I guess I'll have to pass but what a gorgeous place❤ Thanks for sharing a place that I will never be able to see in person!!
I’d love to walk this trail.....
