As long as people accept pandas are soft power of China and they can still use them. This kind of animal can be survive in the zoos of China. If one day it's just normal animal like others with no more soft power because they become number 1 empire, they'll be hunting them down.

Another form of Chinese government propaganda. Trying to portray itself as caring about animals but is a vile oppressive regime with visions of world domination. One party rule for all on planet earth.

Pity they don't treat all their wild life with the same kindness and respect instead of needlessly butchering it for food and medicine.
