Comedian filmmakers try to understand those fighting to keep Confederate statues

"Those are statues that never should’ve been erected. The South lost." Comedian and filmmaker CJ Hunt embedded himself with Neo-Confederates to understand those fighting to preserve the monuments and troubled history.

Frankly, I’m done with wypipo who refuse to understand how America has always oppressed Black people and continues to oppress Black people to this day. I’m too old for the white supremacist effery.

You do realize you are showing union soldiers doing a reenactment not confederates right?

Hahaha. Thank you Facebook. For turning the light on America's uneducated, ignorant, gullible, racists and fools from sea to shining sea.

Anyone who doesn't know about The Southern Unionist Movement and doesn't know about The Cult of the Lost Cause should not say a darn thing about preserving history. If you don't know about those, the history is lost to you no matter how many reenactments you attend.

Y'all seem to forget this isn't the republicans past. Its the democrats. They want them removed so more ignorant people will buy into the great switch theory. The republicans want them to remain so the democrats can't erase their history!! Because if you do they'll most certainly do it again. Just look at all the cheap future slaves coming across our borders now! They're all being used like slaves! Slavery 2.0 if you will! And until there's light shined on the Irish slave trade that was far worse here in america, i will give zero fuqs to the other. If you're unwilling to see the Irish peoples pain then its obvious you are just using it to cause division.

Regardless of their position on the civil war and slavery the people who lived in the south and fought in the war had family who were involved and were impacted by what happened. Its part of their history even if they were against slavery.

Get a job and you won't have time to dwell on 200 years ago.
