Protest is Patriotic

Nate Boyer is a Green Beret veteran — and he was the one who convinced Colin Kaepernick that it was okay to kneel during the anthem. 🇺🇸

Here's a look at three other times athletes stood up to racial injustice.

ironically his kneeling has caused more division than unity. Plus it's been proven that the kneeling is now more about politics and Trump than actual police brutality

They're not kneeling to disrespect or disregard the American flag..The entire globe understands and supports them except trump and his RACIST supporters

I disagree with you. And, I too was in Irag and Afghanistan. I think that to protest during our National Anthem is disrespectful to our nation and the many who have fought, bleed and died for this country. Thwre are otber forums to protest. I think this one is not the appropriate place.

Unfortunately people aren't that smart! And are easily manipulated by media and other entities. It isn't about patriotism and never was about patriotism!

There would be less police brutality if they just do what the officer asks of them, instead of giving him / her a rash of shit.

Kneeling is a sign of respect. People kneel before their gods.

I think this response is spot on no matter where you stand (or kneel): The way I see it, flags and music are symbolic (in this case, the American flag and the National Anthem). You have to remember that symbolism is subjective. When you see the American flag or hear the National Anthem, you might think of freedom, justice, liberty, democracy, or other notions that this nation was founded upon. Or, you might be reminded of the troops who gave their lives for our freedom. However, when someone refuses to stand under the American flag or National Anthem, it is because they believe those items to be symbolic of something else. They may be reminded of a country that they believe is corrupt and full of greed. They may be reminded of a country that they believe is full of discrimination and may not care for them. Is either view wrong? I don't believe so, because symbolism is subjective, and in this case, based on life experience. In conclusion, refusing to stand is permissible.

You can do anything you want, whenever. Doesn't make it right.

"Black men are 3 times more likely to die from police brutality than the white men." May be because there are committing more crime than white men (nearly 50%), even though they represent just 13% of the population. I (almost) agree with the rest of the video.

Now it's police brutality? Oh... like... global warming. Better known as climate change. The rhetoric is exhausting.

The odds of an unarmed black man being shot without a damn good reason is in Chicago.. every. single. day.. by another black man.. but the odds a cop will do it anywhere in America is about as likely as him getting struck by lightening .. Colin Cancer is killing the NFL.. Good riddance to all the Millionaire INGRATES that have not taken a knee for all the black lives taken by black men in Chicago, Detroit, D.C., Baltimore, LA.. or any other city run for generations by DIMOCRATS.. Brut once again you prove to the world that you are nothing but a Leftist Propaganda Front.
