Nation's top military officer: 'We do not take an oath to an individual'

"We do not take an oath to a king or a queen, a tyrant or dictator." America's highest ranking officer, Gen. Mark Milley, vows the military will stay apolitical after Trump appointed loyalists to the Pentagon.

It's nice to hear that most people in law enforcement and military remember that oath.

Listen up, "Yang mga heneral na yan, pinapakain ko lang ng pera mga yan" of Digong and all the men in uniform! "We are unique among militaries. We do not take an oath to a king or a queen, a tyrant or a dictator. We do not take an oath to an individual. No, we do not take an oath to a country, a tribe or religion. We take an oath to the Constitution. And every soldier that is represented in this museum, every sailor, airman, Marine, Coast Guardsman, each of us will protect and defend that document, regardless of personal price," Milley said during remarks at the opening of the US Army's museum. ========= Top US general stands firm amid Pentagon turmoil CNN Politics By Ryan Browne and Barbara Starr, CNN Updated 1931 GMT (0331 HKT) November 12, 2020 https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/12/politics/mark-milley-pentagon-turmoil/index.html +++++++ Mga heneral na tinutukoy ni Digong dito, mahiya kayo! “PINAKAIN KO NG PERA ANG MGA GENERAL!” --- DF PRES. But the joint chief of staff has no operational command over the military. His position is merely ceremonial.

Interesting! He has the right to appoint anyone he thinks cannot be corrupted. Do you want him to choose someone from the other side instead? Just so happened he has chosen someone with the qualification and that believes on freedom.

All gave some. Some gave all. I served from 1968 to 1972 on three Naval destroyers. Two of my classmate's from high school came home in body bags from Vietnam. John Early and Pete Wright will always be in my heart. They were not suckers or losers.
