Update on Idaho murder case
Bryan Kohberger appeared in court today and will be extradited to Idaho to face murder charges for the 4 University of Idaho students, Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.
Who is Bryan Kohberger ?
Bryan Kohberger was arrested in Pennsylvania on Dec. 30 in connection to the Idaho murders. *“No arrest will ever bring back these young students, however, we do believe justice will be found through the criminal process”*, said James Fry, Moscow Police Chief.
He was studying criminology as a graduate student at Washington State University about 7 miles from the University of Idaho. Now, he will be sent from Pennsylvania to Idaho to face murder charges in the death of the 4 university students, Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin.

Investigators narrowed in on Kohberger after tracing him back to the White Elantra police were searching for. As well as a DNA match to genetic material recovered at the home, CNN reports. The police department is still searching for evidence like the murder weapon. And no other details have been confirmed to the public. Once Kohberger is in Idaho, he is expected to make an initial appearance, and then further hearings will be scheduled.
