I didn't become a fan of Ali because of his boxing, I became a fan & was so pleased with him for his stand against the (white mans) war. Good for all that take a knee.

Why can’t these athletes get it!!!! The flag had nothing to do with some very bad police and certainly not all officers of the law. Many are amazing. Protest all year long and together with the other athletes buy TV time, social media. Go into ur communities and work with at risk kids. Talk with the gangs, then u will be a hero!!!

It took me awhile to hear why Kaepermick was kneeling, once it became clear, it made sense. I think the bigger problem is some white people are in denial that their is racism in this country. But it is huge, in many subtle ways. The undereducation of the predominately black communities is perhaps the biggest tragedy of the post civil war years. All the minds wasted because of lack of knowledge and direction. Very parent I knows wants the best for their child, do black parents not have the same hopes for their children? I think they do, and as s nation we can benefit from utilizing all the intelligence we have kept under developed. This makes me so incredibly sad.

Why should someone have to bow to a flag and anthem? Free of choice. I shouldn’t have to do something I don’t want to do. For that person who said protest has no place in sport it is all about winning the Super Bowl, neither has the flag and the anthem got anything to do with sport. You Americans are easily condition to do what your masters say. More important to reseoect the Flag and anthem or respect human life. I would also like to point out the flag and anthem have nothing to do with the army. Conditioned in the matrix, pull you heads out of the sand.

I don't care what any of these a******'s think. I care more about what my neighbor things or wet my coworkers think. I don't care what any overpaid athlete thinks

I say he has the right to kneel. I also say you have a constitutional right to burn the flag. I also have the right to turn the channel. Just turn it off. Do buy nike, dont buy nike, it's freedom of choice.

I am a United States Navy veteran and I kneel with Colin Kaepernick and I do not feel low keyed disrespected by him kneeling at the beginning of the anthem.

Well I've watched this video posted several times. Over & Over & over again . There is a problem and it's not with the sport. participants . It's not not standing or taking a knee during the the National. The problem is with the people that governs this country . There is no equality. There is no justice for All

THEY WERE BRATS AND SHOULD HAVE GONE TO JAIL. MY OPINION AND I DO NOT CARE WHO AGREES OR DISAGREES. I MYSELF SAT DURING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM DURING VIETNAM AND NOW FEEL DEEP SHAME AND REGRET. I SHOULD HAVE STOOD AND SHOWN PRIDE FOR MY FELLOW CLASSMATES WHO DIED THERE I DID NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT THE HELL WAS HAPPENING. I JUST KNEW NUMBERS AND BODY BAGS.

If he was good enough, well he took his team to the Superbowl unlike many white quarterbacks playing so people can stick that one back in there racist play book.

Why did they even start playing the anthem at the games? There used to be a time when it wasn't played at all

You forgot Peter Norman, he was also part of the protest and suffered consequences for that.

For everyone when you see the track athletes putting their fist up remember the sacrifice of the person who gave them his gloves and was his idea his country disowned him Peter Norman silver medalists
