A U.S.-born citizen is suing the federal government after he was arrested twice by ICE.

Leonardo Garcia Venegas, who was born in the U.S. and lives in Alabama, was detained by ICE officers at a private construction site in May. He was released after about an hour once he presented his Real ID. He was arrested again two weeks later at another private construction site. When he presented his ID, officials initially claimed it was fake before releasing him about 20 minutes later.
