A nonprofit says a possible school shooting was prevented thanks to the Sandy Hook tip line. A student in Northern California used the “Say Something” anonymous tip line, which was created after the Sandy Hook school shooting, to report warning signs seen in a classmate’s Instagram posts. As a result, two schools in the Sequoia Union High School District were placed on lockdown, and the student was detained.
