Gauahar Khan was left surprised when Neha Dhupia brought up an unexpected detail about her husband Zaid Darbar during their appearance on Double Date.
Gauahar and Zaid appeared on Neha and Angad Bedi’s show, where they discussed their relationship, marriage and life as parents. The conversation took an unexpected turn when Neha asked about Zaid’s so-called “underarm fetish”.

Neha introduced the topic by asking, “What is the underarm fetish?”
Gauahar immediately reacted with surprise.
“Oh my God. What does you get this information? What is this?” she asked.
She then jokingly questioned Neha, “Are you like in our bedrooms?”
Neha followed up by asking about Zaid’s “underarm fetish”, while referring to him touching Gauahar’s underarms.
Zaid pushed back on the description.
“I mean, it’s nothing like that."
He then explained that he associates the feel of Gauahar’s skin with that of a baby.
"I just feel that it’s like a baby’s skin, you know? What do you call it?”
After Gauahar said “baby skin”, Zaid continued explaining what he meant.
What did Zaid Darbar say about smelling Gauahar’s underarms?
The conversation then moved to what Zaid actually does.
Gauahar said Zaid believes her underarms smell fresh.
“And he also thinks that oh my underarm smell fresh all the time. So, he wouldn’t care,” she said.
Zaid then explained:
“I wouldn’t do anything. I just touch that.”
Gauahar confirmed, “Yeah, he touches.”
Zaid added:
“Touch that and I just smell.”
Gauahar then shared another detail about the behaviour.
“And then he tell his own sister, 'Look how good it smells.'
Gauahar and Zaid also discussed their love story
The conversation also touched on how Gauahar and Zaid first connected during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Zaid recalled seeing Gauahar at a supermarket but said they did not speak at the time. He later messaged her.
His opening message, as recalled during the conversation, was:
“Hi, I have something very important to tell you.”
He later told her:
“I think it’s very important to tell you. You’re very beautiful.”
The conversation continued, with Zaid eventually telling her:
“Listen, don’t get married.”
The couple eventually married on 25 December 2020.
Gauahar reveals what made her say yes
Gauahar also spoke about what she wanted from a relationship and what made Zaid stand out to her.
“You only think that I was seeking was someone to be secure about me as a person and love me like a child. That combination was very deadly,” she said.
She then reflected on how Zaid seemed to offer her that combination without her explicitly asking for it.
“How did this man have the maturity to give me that exact combination without even asking?”
The couple also discussed their family, parenthood and other personal aspects of their relationship during their Double Date appearance.
