But Rhiti Tiwari’s entry came with an added curiosity.
She is the daughter of singer and politician Manoj Tiwari, who was also a Bigg Boss contestant during season 4.

Rhiti Tiwari, also known as Riti and Zooni, is a singer, songwriter, composer, producer and entrepreneur. She is Manoj Tiwari’s daughter with his first wife, Rani Tiwari.
Rhiti was introduced as a Bigg Boss 20 contestant on 6 September 2026. She arrived on the premiere alongside her father, with Salman Khan also bringing up Manoj’s own stint on Bigg Boss 4.
Rhiti is 25 and has largely built her public profile around music and creative work. She is trained in Indian classical music and also plays the guitar. Her work has included original songs as well as covers.
From Music To Entrepreneurship
Rhiti’s professional journey began before Bigg Boss.
One of her early music projects was Chale Aao, released in 2020 in association with singer-composer Palaash Muchhal. The music video featured actors Nandish Sandhu and Charlie Chauhan. The project helped introduce Rhiti to a wider audience through social media.
Her next notable release came in December 2025 with Jhoothi Baby.
This time, Rhiti had greater creative control. She wrote, sang and composed the synth-pop track herself. The song was promoted through streaming platforms, YouTube and outdoor billboards.
Apart from music, Rhiti has also explored entrepreneurship and social work. In May 2024, she joined the BJP at the age of 22. At the time, she said she was working with an NGO and wanted to contribute through social service.

Her Family Background
Rhiti is the daughter of Manoj Tiwari and his first wife, Rani Tiwari.
Her parents separated after years of marriage, and Rhiti largely lived with her mother in Mumbai while maintaining a relationship with her father and his family. Manoj later remarried and has two younger daughters.
That family connection has naturally followed Rhiti into Bigg Boss.
Her father was a contestant on the fourth season of the reality show, making her entry into the 20th season a full-circle moment for the Tiwari family.
But it is Rhiti’s own conduct inside the house that has now made her one of the season’s talking points.
Why Is Rhiti Tiwari Trending On Bigg Boss 20?
The latest controversy began during a captaincy task involving a rap-style diss battle.
Rhiti got into an argument involving Qazi Touqeer and Uditi Singh. Some of Rhiti’s remarks were muted during the telecast. The exchange escalated, and the disagreement continued even after the task.
The episode was later discussed during Weekend Ka Vaar, when Salman Khan questioned Rhiti over her language and behaviour.
Salman also brought up her identity as Manoj Tiwari’s daughter and questioned how much of her public recognition came from her own work and how much was linked to her family name. He also referred to Manoj’s past Bigg Boss history.
Manoj Tiwari has since responded to the attention around his daughter. He rejected social media claims that he had used his influence to get Rhiti onto the show, saying he did not know she had been finalised for Bigg Boss. He also described the programme as a game and asked viewers not to get overly worked up by what happens inside the house.

The Rs. 25,000 Question
Another part of Rhiti’s Bigg Boss journey has triggered a separate discussion.
During a conversation inside the house, Rhiti said that Manoj gives her around Rs. 20,000 to 25,000 a month and spoke about being careful with money. She recalled eating Rs. 10 vada pavs and putting around Rs. 500 worth of diesel into her car when needed.
Those comments were later questioned by Punjabi singer Ekam Bawa, who described himself as Rhiti’s former stepfather.
Bawa alleged that Rhiti owns expensive handbags, luxury cars, properties and has links to a sports business. However, these claims have not been independently verified. They should therefore be treated as allegations, not established facts.
For Rhiti, Bigg Boss 20 has consequently become a much bigger platform than her earlier music career.
