Government job exams in India already test patience. Application forms, years of waiting, and thousands of applicants competing for a handful of posts.
But for one candidate in Bihar, the real shock came after the admit card finally arrived.
When he opened it, the photograph printed on the document was not his.
It was a Golden Retriever.
A Dog Instead Of A Candidate
Rakesh Kumar, a job aspirant from Bihar, had applied for a peon post in the Bihar district court system after a recruitment notification was issued several years ago.
After nearly four years of waiting, admit cards for the exam scheduled on 15 March were finally released.
When Kumar downloaded his admit card, he noticed something strange.
The photograph on the document was not his own.
Instead, the card showed the image of a Golden Retriever.
Quick Facts
• Bihar job aspirant Rakesh Kumar downloaded his admit card
• It showed a Golden Retriever instead of his photo
• The exam for a district court peon post is on 15 March

• The issue had not been fixed before the exam
“I Uploaded My Photo”
Kumar says he had submitted the correct photograph during the application process.
According to him, the application receipt acknowledgement also confirms that his own photo was uploaded.
But the admit card generated by the system shows a dog’s image.
Exam Date Is Near
Kumar has contacted the recruitment authorities and appealed for a correction.
However, the issue has not yet been fixed.
With the exam date approaching, the error could prevent him from appearing for the test.
For now, a clerical or technical mistake may cost a candidate the chance to sit for an exam he waited years for.
