Political strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor has won the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar, securing the first electoral victory of his political career.

Contesting as the Jan Suraaj Party candidate, Kishor defeated BJP's Neeraj Kumar Sinha. According to the election results, Kishor secured more than 63,000 votes, while Sinha received over 44,000 votes. The contest also featured RJD candidate Rekha Gupta.

The victory is also the first election won by the Jan Suraaj Party since its formation.
