What happened?
The landslide occurred at around 3:48 am in the Gaushiya Chawl area of Chirag Nagar, near Rathod Medical, along the Ghatkopar-Kurla Road, according to information shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Mumbai Fire Brigade.
A portion of the hillside collapsed onto homes in the area, trapping people beneath the debris.
