Man's "awkward" question to Vivek Ramaswamy on being Hindu

"I’m not running to be a pastor, I’m running to lead this country." Republican politician Vivek Ramaswamy defended his religious beliefs when a man asked whether his Hindu faith aligned with "Christian values". He also had the man read the US Constitution to make his point about religious freedom. This happened during a Turning Point USA event at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. This was not the first time Ramaswamy was confronted about his Hindu faith. In 2024, he was accused of comparing Hindu gods to Jesus Christ at a campaign event. At the time, he defended his faith and rejected claims of misleading the audience.
