Dubai International damaged in Iranian strikes
The world's busiest airports, Dubai International Airport, was hit after Iran launched missile attacks in response to US-Israel strikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities on 28 February, leaving at least 4 people injured, an airport statement said, as of 8 am, 1 March.
Airspace over Dubai and Abu Dhabi was shut, leading to mass flight cancellations and lakhs of passengers stranded at the airport.
Authorities said debris from intercepted missiles also caused a fire at Jebel Ali Port, but no one was hurt.
Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi was also shut after the strikes.
Strikes were also reported at other airports in the region, including Kuwait International Airport, leading to more closures and cancellations.
