A video from Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, showed a fire brigade vehicle being used to wash BJP MLA Ramniwas Shah’s Toyota Innova outside his government residence on Tuesday, 25 August.
The footage showed Municipal Corporation personnel spraying water from the fire engine onto the car. Singrauli Municipal Corporation Commissioner Savita Pradhan told NDTV that she was not aware of the incident.
Shah later said he was not at the residence when the incident took place. He said he had asked his driver to bring the vehicle while he attended several programmes. He did not directly comment on whether a fire brigade vehicle should have been used to wash the car.
