Helicopter crashes in Nepal’s Khotang
A helicopter, operated by Air Dynasty, crashed while attempting to land in Nepal’s Khotang district after flying in from Kathmandu.
The chopper was carrying five passengers when it lost balance during landing on hilly farmland. It was seen rolling on the ground and crashing into a mountain wall before coming to a halt.
The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority confirmed the crash and said all passengers and crew were rescued, with one person sustaining a leg injury.
The injured passenger was later airlifted to Kathmandu by another company helicopter.
Preliminary findings suggest strong winds or dust during landing may have affected visibility and caused the helicopter to lose control, though a detailed investigation is still underway.
