While researching about male dominated sports in India, I came across Hetal Dave and how she made a mark in a field mostly run by men. India’s first and only female sumo wrestler spoke to me about breaking stereotypes and putting India on the global map. Hetal talks about her journey, the challenges of training without opponents, what keeps her going despite the odds, about stereotypes, and about a topic many people bring up, marriage.
