After protesters were not allowed to assemble at Jantar Mantar on 10 October, some decided to gather at Delhi Haat to take the movement forward. The protests were called on the 10th in opposition to alleged vote theft and deletion of names from the voter rolls as part of the SIR exercise. On the protesters' agenda was: the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, overhaul of the voter roll revision process, and reforms in the appointment procedure of election commissioners.
