Flying fox seen in Rajasthan

Panic gripped among villagers near Rajasthan's Bhilwara district after they spotted this creature, commonly known as a fruit bat or flying fox ,with a wingspan estimated to be 5-6 feet long. They are mostly found across the Indian subcontinent and play a beneficial ecological role. These nocturnal animals are frugivores that feed on fruits, flowers, and nectar, playing an important role in pollination and seed dispersal. Non-aggressive by nature, they don’t pose a threat to humans. However, there might be a risk of the virus spreading only if it gets infected.
