Shivani Chauhan, known as Sia, was riding her two-wheeler in Gurugram on 13 September when a white sedan rammed into her vehicle from the side and drove away. Nearly a month later, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) concluded that the collision was intentional and not an accident. Sia had shared the footage recorded by her helmet camera, which led to the arrest of driver Kalyan Bainsla. Bainsla had claimed that he lost control of his car near a U-turn. However, the SIT’s investigation concluded that the collision was deliberate. Police said that all charges mentioned in the First Information Report (FIR), including attempt to murder, were likely to be retained.
