Mandya Road Accident: Toyota Hilux Hits Swift, Woman Dies, Four Injured
A high-speed Toyota Hilux overtaking from the wrong side collided with another vehicle in Karnataka’s Mandya district on September 6, resulting in the death of a woman and four people injured.
The Maruti Swift was turning left towards a petrol pump when the Hilux approached from behind.
Sudha Jain, travelling in the car along with three others, sustained serious injuries but later lost her life while undergoing treatment.
Her husband, son and daughter-in-law were also injured but are reported to be out of danger.
The Toyota Hilux driver, identified as Vikas, sustained minor injuries. Police registered a case and were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

According to police, the Swift was travelling from Shravanabelagola towards Bengaluru when it was turning towards a petrol pump. A Toyota Hilux approaching from behind collided with the car.
The Swift had four occupants, including Sudha Jain. She was taken to hospital but died while undergoing treatment. Her husband, son and daughter-in-law were injured and were reported to be out of danger.
