Three women from Nagaland have alleged that three unidentified men tried to grab them and force them into a car outside a five-star hotel in Chanakyapuri, Delhi. According to the women, the incident took place near the exit gate in the hotel’s parking area. They alleged that the men had removed the car’s number plate. One of the women said that when their male friends intervened, the men attacked one of them with a hockey stick and an iron rod. The injured man was later taken to RML Hospital and, according to the woman, remains admitted. The women said they called the police after the incident. They alleged that they were taken to a police station and made to wait for hours. One woman alleged that the police did not initially register an FIR or record their complaint. The women were later taken to hospital, where medical examinations were conducted, according to their statements. The victims said the police have seized the car and their phones, which they believe could contain evidence related to the incident. One of the women said she is from Nagaland and has been living in Delhi for several years. She alleged that the incident involved an attempt to kidnap them and said she wanted the men to be arrested. According to the National Human Rights Commission, nearly 24,500 people were reported missing in Delhi in 2025. Around 60% were women, while nearly 37% of the cases remained unresolved. The NHRC has also stated that since 2016, nearly 3,500 teenage girls have gone missing in Delhi every year.
