Devotees gathered in Paris on Sunday, 30 August, for the annual Ganesh Festival procession in the city’s 18th arrondissement. The procession took place around the Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam temple in the La Chapelle area. The event included religious ceremonies followed by a procession carrying a statue of Lord Ganesha through the surrounding streets. The chariot was pulled using ropes, with singers and musicians accompanying the procession. Offerings, sweets and cold drinks were also distributed during the event. The Paris Ganesh Festival is organised annually by the Sri Manicka Vinayakar Alayam temple and brings members of the Hindu community together for prayers and the procession.
