Journalist Vartika Nanda went into the narrow lanes of GB Road to understand what life looks like behind closed doors. Several women recount being misled or betrayed by their lovers or abandoned by their families before arriving there. Many do not reveal their age, and some say they had no option but to live there to make a living.
