Salvacion Caunsag, a call centre worker in Cavite, Philippines, stayed on a video call with a customer on 22 July, even as floodwater filled her room. Seated on her chair with a headset on, she continued working while the water rose to her knees. Once her shift ended, she packed up her computer and work equipment and moved them to higher ground.
