Bowing, weeping and chanting, these people mourned their Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei’s death in Iran. Khamenei, who had led Iran since 1989, was killed at his office during a major attack by the United States and Israel, according to Iranian state television. As of 1pm IST, over 200 people died and nearly 750 were injured following the coordinated US Israel airstrikes on Iran on 28 February, the BBC reported.
