Commotion erupted on the Jaynagar–Manihari Janki Express, forcing a solo woman traveler to lock herself inside the train toilet. The incident happened after the train stopped at Katihar Junction, where she alleged that 30–40 men entered her reserved sleeper coach. Fearing her safety, she sent an SOS message to the railway helpline (139). Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at the station received the alert and arrived at the coach. They removed the unauthorised passengers from the sleeper coach. Once it was cleared, the woman was safely escorted back to her berth. As per TOI, Katihar RPF Inspector Rakesh Kumar said that vigilance on platforms and trains have been intensified to prevent such incidents.
