Shortly after takeoff from Mogadishu’s Aden Abdulle International Airport, a passenger plane carrying 55 people made an emergency landing due to a technical issue and overran the runway into shallow water near a beach. All 50 passengers and five crew members were safely evacuated with no reported injuries, according to the airline’s CEO.
