Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has unveiled a new AI-generated film taking aim at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ahead of the 2027 UP Assembly election. Screened during a press conference, the short film uses an over-the-top 1980s Bollywood-style narrative, casting Akhilesh Yadav as an “angry young man” and Yogi Adityanath as the antagonist. In the AI-generated film, Yadav repeatedly addresses the Chief Minister as “Ajay Seth”, a variation of his real name, Ajay Bisht. The film depicts Yogi Adityanath as a Bollywood-style villain and makes several allegations against his government. Yadav’s character accuses the UP government of rising crimes against women, corruption, problems with expressway construction, deterioration of public education and farmer suicides. The film also contains claims about inflation, with references to the prices of sugar, gas cylinders and ration. In another sequence, the AI-generated version of Yogi Adityanath claims to spend more than Rs. 2 crore on public relations, while Yadav responds that the support of the people is enough to counter any PR machinery. The film further depicts the Chief Minister admitting to a political model based on creating divisions between communities and making allegations involving donations to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. These statements are part of the fictionalised AI-generated portrayal and are not established as factual admissions by Yogi Adityanath. The video ends with SP supporters holding placards carrying the slogan “2027 mein PDA Sarkar”. The latest film follows an earlier AI-generated video released by Yadav in which Yogi Adityanath was depicted smoking a chillum. That video drew criticism from the BJP, which described it as “anti-Sanatan”.
