Delhi car blast: What the eye witnesses saw
“Saw a hand on the road…”, eyewitnesses recount moments after a blast took place near Gate No. 1 of Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station on 10 November killing at least 8 people as of 9 pm.
Police have cordoned off the area, and forensic teams are examining the site to determine the cause of the blast.
As of 9 pm, the Medical Superintendent of Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital told ANI that over 20 people were brought in after the explosion.
Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha told ANI that at around 6.52 pm, a slow-moving vehicle stopped at the red light. An explosion happened in that vehicle, and due to the explosion, nearby vehicles were also damaged. Some people have died, and some have been injured in the incident.
