We’ve all watched the Republic Day Parade on our television screens year after year, but very few get to see what goes into making it happen. We went to witness the preparations of the parade firsthand at 5:30 AM, when it was still dark and the temperature was 5 degrees celsius. The preparations begin months in advance. In the biting Delhi winters, hundreds of participants gather every day, rehearsing for hours without breaks-marching, coordinating, perfecting every single move. It was a sight to behold.
