The parents of a teenage girl who was harassed in Jamui, Bihar, have spoken about the incident and sought justice for their daughter. The girl and her friend were allegedly harassed by a group of men while they were commuting together. The men were also allegedly moral policing the two about travelling together. The survivor’s mother made a plea for justice following the incident. “Those miscreants should plead the way my daughter had to,” she said. Videos filmed by the men helped identify seven people as the alleged perpetrators. The Bihar Police later confirmed that all seven accused had been arrested. The incident has led to a police case involving the alleged harassment of the teenage survivor and her friend in Jamui.
