A Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 operating from Mashhad to Kermanshah in Iran was involved in an incident on 14 September 2026 after severe vibrations affected the aircraft. Reports said part of a landing-gear tyre was damaged during the take-off sequence, while the cabin ceiling and overhead compartments became detached. Videos from inside the aircraft showed passengers reacting as ceiling panels came loose. The aircraft returned to Mashhad, where passengers disembarked safely. No injuries were reported. Mashhad Airport's runway was temporarily closed for inspection. Iran's Civil Aviation Organisation has launched an investigation into the incident.
