Students of Sarvodaya Inter College in Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, held a protest on 28 July over the lack of basic facilities in their school. The students boycotted classes and carried placards, demanding improvements in classrooms and campus facilities. They alleged that classrooms did not have electricity and fans, drinking water was unsafe, toilets were not maintained, and desks were damaged. Students also raised concerns over meals, fees and their treatment by the school administration. The protest gained attention online after videos surfaced on social media. Following the protest, officials assured students that fans, an RO water cooler, electrical repairs and new desks would be provided. After receiving assurances, the students ended their protest.
