Models on TikTok are saying, 'F--- the modeling industry.'

"We're really just clothing hangers with no basic human needs." These models are calling out toxic patterns in the fashion industry.

Were they really surprised that an industry as superficial as modelling wouldn’t judge them on their looks,I mean it’s like somebody in medicine being judged for being stupid, isn’t that like your job to look pretty? The harrassment & abuse is wrong but how do you sign up for something based on how you look & then hate it?

Honestly, it would be nice to see different body images in modeling. Not everyone can be barely over a hundred pounds. And a lot of these expectations are like agencies want there models to look like children while still representing adults. It's very twisted!

My problem is if they had such a problem with the industry then they should stop feeding it. Stop modeling and be an activist who pulls young girls out of these situations instead of just posting on the internet and going right back on set.

People need to stop attending these shows honestly could you imagine walking to a dog show and seeing a bunch of emaciated and sick dogs not one person would be coming back and most would hopefully call the authorities but let it be humans and we calibrate and call it beauty!?!

Fashion industry is disgusting, yes they shouldn't be treated like that, but by entering that industry they are only perpetuating what goes on.

Alyssa Davis (@alyssacdavis on tiktok) in this video is such a role model for those who want to become models. Teaching HOW, what to know, what to learn, what to look out for, and how to love yourself!!! And has a great program 😍

Talk about QUEENS, brave to talk about the realities while also trying to change the narrative within that field in their own lives

All of these commenters saying don't be a model, is that your advice for all cases where persons experience exploitation and harassment in their careers?

This is why what Rihanna is doing is so important. We're all beautiful in our own way... Fat, skinny, big small. Her work and other's works are important to change this idea that the mainstream only want to see the few that can attain that beauty standard. In doing this, we can change that beauty standard.
