Commonwealth Games 2026: How Did India Perform?

The 2026 Commonwealth Games concluded on 2 August in Glasgow, with India finishing fourth on the medal table.

India ended its campaign with 39 medals, comprising 13 gold, 17 silver and 9 bronze.

Boxing was India's most successful sport, contributing 10 medals, including a record seven gold medals. Weightlifting also stood out, with Mirabai Chanu becoming the first Indian to win three consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medals.

India also won medals in athletics, para athletics, judo, swimming, para swimming, track cycling, para track cycling and para powerlifting, with several athletes producing career-best performances.

With the Glasgow edition now over, the focus shifts to upcoming international events, including the Asian Games. The next Commonwealth Games will be held in Ahmedabad in 2030, when India hosts the multi-sport event for the second time.

The Games are being hosted in Glasgow, Scotland, marking the city's second time hosting the Commonwealth Games after 2014.

Competitions are taking place across four venue clusters, including:
